About a year ago My contemporary photo class took a two-day trip to Pittsburgh, PA. During this trip we saw handfuls of street art plastered along buildings all the history and color was amazing. During our second day in Pittsburgh we visited the Mattress Factory. No, The factory didn't have the process of how to make mattresses but it was an installation museum. Inside and out of this building was huge piece of art work that was just magnificent to look at and to experience, One of the artist that took my breath away was the installation of Yayoi Kusama, Kusama is a Japanese artist famous for her polka dot and spot arts. when we went inside the room it was covered in red spots and it also had mirrors everywhere. It was almost like an optical illusion, I felt like I was in a fun house and was so excited on what else i was going to invision in her work. In the article It explains her fascination with optical illusions and color, which I totally agree with. Her art is like stepping in a kaleidoscope. I agree with the points she portrays in her work, seeing in the self continues of yourself and the illusions of realities.
